Megan Jones

Profile

Meg is part of TELT’s Enhancement strand, where she explores new technologies and seeks ways to improve existing ones. She is particularly interested in immersive learning, focusing on how the metaverse, mixed reality, and gamification can enhance student engagement and understanding. Meg collaborates closely with educators to implement innovative teaching tools and is works on creating guidance on accessibility, course design, and technology use.

Before joining QMUL, Meg worked as a Postgraduate Officer at St George’s University, where she managed course administration and was the primary contact for students and staff on a range of issues, including those related to their VLE (Canvas). This role equipped her with a solid foundation for her current position, giving her a deep understanding of how technology impacts the daily lives of its users.

In her free time, Meg enjoys traveling, reading, gaming (think Stardew Valley rather than Call of Duty), and taking photographs.
