Steve Evans

Profile

Steve is a Learning Technologist in the Services strand of the Technology Enhanced Learning Team primarily supporting users of QMplus and the audience response tools Mentimeter and Padlet, as well as providing support and training for all of TELT’s technologies. Having ample experience of writing learning materials, he enjoys creating training and support materials for users, as part of self-access courses or live training sessions.

Having worked as a teacher and an educational technology specialist in the language learning sector for many years, Steve is committed to supporting the use of technologies in education, believes in listening to learners’ needs and being mindful of the importance of pedagogy in edtech. He believes in a constructivist and collaborative approach and thinks that Queen Mary’s prominent position gives it enormous potential to transform learning in the UK’s richly resourced HE sector.

As his home is in Madrid, he splits his time between Spain and the UK, though he is mainly to be found in London, where he pursues cultural interests and enjoys long walks contemplating Spanish culinary delights, among other things.
