Profile

Surjit leads the Technology Enhanced Learning Team within the university, providing strategic vision supporting the use of educational technology for all stakeholders, including staff and students.  With the aims and ambitions of the university to be a digital leader in the use of technology enhanced learning, Surjit oversees all the team’s services with an aim to meet the ambitions of Queen Mary and in line with innovative developments outside of the institution.

Surjit has been in the field of technology enhanced learning for 20+ years and supported various technology initiatives, leading digital transformations, whilst driving organisational change and managing stakeholders through periods of transition.  Her work has predominately been in the education sector.

Surjit is keen to navigate the developments that technology offers, to ensure inclusivity in educational attainment when engaged with online learning.  She is keen to listen and unpack the needs of the staff and students, to ensure the curiosity to change can be delivered through projects, and pilots that will support technology enhanced learning within the university.
