There has been a notable increase in interest in using Padlet with QM students, as evidenced by the impressive 47 bookings for our first training session this semester. With a tour of advanced features and innovations, we all learned something new and we will be well placed to upgrade our user guides and help materials on QMplus. If you missed the training session, please consider signing up for Padlet Sessions online. Recordings are made available later if you can't make it.
You can also access the board that was used in our session and follow some of the extensive range of tutorial videos available.
The innovations mentioned in the session included the new Padlet Sandbox - you can get an idea of what it does in this video. It is essentially a whiteboard tool that contains all the features of the now defunct Google Jamboard. Similarly, Microsoft Flipgrid has been discontinued as a standalone app; this brief guide discusses how to use Padlet as a Flipgrid alternative.
Inevitably, there are also AI-related innovations, including the ability to create AI-guided discussion boards. There is also a useful YouTube video to help you with this.
Finally, if you would like to keep up to date with Padlet innovations and developments, keep an eye on Padlet Gazette, the official Padlet blog with news on the latest updates and releases.
