In some cases, we are able to consider transfer applications if you have completed part of your university studies elsewhere. Depending on the course you wish to apply to, it may be possible to join undergraduate degree programmes at:
It is not possible to transfer to the final year of any degree programme.

Applications for advanced entry are made through UCAS. You then choose the appropriate 'point of entry' whilst making your application e.g. for second year entry you would choose point of entry 2.

There is a lot to consider before transferring to another university. We encourage you to speak to your current university about the reasons you wish to transfer as they may be able to help or offer advice.

Queen Mary recognises there are individual circumstances where a student may wish to transfer from one University to another or one programme or mode of study to another, such as choosing to study nearer their home because of serious illness affecting them or a close member of their family. If you have any questions please contact Undergraduate Admissions to discuss.
We may also consider applications for advanced entry on the basis of post-A-Level qualifications, such as the BTEC HND. For this type of advanced entry application, you will need to apply through UCAS and choose the appropriate point of entry. We may request a transcript that details the modules you are taking and grades you may have achieved if necessary.
As we do not accept transfers for all our programmes, there may be cases where you want to complete your first year studies again. There are a few things to note:
