The Bioinformatics team lead by Dr Myles Lewis. The team consists of six talented bioinformaticians with diverse backgrounds including statistics, physics, biochemistry, clinical medicine and engineering. The research focus of the group is analysing and integrating multi-omics data across autoimmune rheumatic diseases (SLE, Sjogren’s syndrome and rheumatoid arthritis).
We use and also develop state-of-the-art data mining tools to analyse biomedical information in order to generate clinical knowledge for application (also known as translational bioinformatics). The team is highly experienced in setting, managing, and analysis of complex clinical trials (e.g. PEAC, R4RA, STRAP and 3TR).
