Dr Serene Chang

Profile

Dr Serene Chang is a Consultant Anaesthetist and Research Lead at Barts Health NHS Trust, as well as Honorary Research Fellow with the Biomedical Engineering Research Group at City University. She previously studied medicine at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals, and was a Specialist Registrar in Anaesthetics at Barts and The London School of Anaesthesia, where she was Clinical Lecturer in Anaesthetics for 2 years. She was appointed Consultant Anaesthetist at Barts Health in 2010, and obtained her MD (Research) with Queen Mary University of London in 2013, in the field of photoplethysmography in clinical monitoring. In 2011, she became an Assistant Editor of Anaesthesia Cases, an online journal of case reports linked to Anaesthesia. Her clinical interests include head and neck anaesthesia, orthopaedic and trauma surgery.
