Our work spans a broad variety of communicable diseases. We frame the distribution of infectious diseases at local and global level against the context of social and economic inequalities. Our research deploys a range of approaches and methodologies to understand, measure, and intervene in health inequalities in exposure to, and outcomes of, infectious diseases which we see as unfair and avoidable. This approach is founded on the need to work together with communities to understand problems and develop interventions to improve inequalities. We work to improve the relationship between public health systems and communities, develop mutual trust, and reduce stigma and discrimination.
