I completed a Licentiate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires, majoring in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and an MSc in Data Analytics from the School of Mathematical Sciences of Queen Mary, University of London. I’m currently undertaking a PhD within the Wolfson Institute of Population Health Science and the Centre for Translational Bioinformatics, funded by Wellcome Trust. My focus is on applying machine and deep learning tools to immune mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) to help develop precision medicine pipelines.

My research interest lays in integrating multi-omic and clinical patient data via machine and deep learning tools to identify and stratify patient sub-groups, to help define areas of therapeutic interest, develop more sensitive diagnostic tools, and determine the treatment plan most adapted to a given patient. I have a particular interest in immune mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs), such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, lupus, and Sjögren’s syndrome. I’ve worked with transcriptomic and imaging histopathology data, seeking to enhance prediction of treatment response compared to use of clinical markers alone by using both supervised, unsupervised machine learning and deep learning techniques.
