Profile

I am a research assistant at the QMUL Youth Resilience Unit. I currently work on a project to evaluate whether it is feasible and acceptable to deliver, and test through a randomised control trial and qualitative evaluation, a new community-based intervention that tackles loneliness among young adults.

I completed my BSc (Hons) in Psychology at the University of Surrey. My research project explored the impact of Western-specific beauty ideals on Asian women’s body image and self-esteem. During my BSc, I worked on a placement as a research assistant at the Surrey Baby Lab on multiple projects investigating child cognition. I also volunteered as a research assistant at the National Institute of Education (NIE) in Singapore on the BE-POSITIVE project investigating child development.

I have recently completed an MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences at University College London. My research project examined the association between loneliness and mental health outcomes in people with severe mental illness.
