Profile

I am the Operations Manager for the Dementia & Neurodegeneration Policy Research Unit (DeNPRU-QM) based in the Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health at QMUL.

Prior to joining QMUL I was the Programme Manager for the ESRC/NIHR funded Empowering Better End of Life Dementia-Care (EMBED-Care) Programme at UCL. 

My research has broadly centred on palliative and end of life care primarily using qualitative methods. This has included looking at the inpatient hospital experience of children with long term conditions with and without learning disabilities, improving end-of-life care for young adults with cancer and their families, and increasing consent for organ donation. I have worked on studies funded by the NIHR, BBSRC, ESRC and Marie Curie. Research findings have been disseminated through peer-reviewed and lay publications, presentations at national and international conferences and public engagement events.
