Profile

I am a postdoctoral researcher, and my research interests are frailty and multiple long-term conditions, end of life and palliative care, and health inequalities.

During my NIHR SPCR funded PhD “Frailty and end of life care: a study in Primary Care”, I investigated the potential for an electronic frailty index (eFI) to support recognition of the dying phase in people age 75 and over, and I developed skills in modelling longitudinal data.

I have experience of working with large datasets (including routine clinical data from primary care electronic health records, the GP Patient Survey, and ELSA) and using a variety of analytical techniques including quantile regression, multiple imputation, weighting of survey data, and structural equation modelling in Mplus.

I have been awarded funding by the NIHR as part of the Infrastructure Short Placement Award for Research Collaboration (SPARC), held a launching fellowship with the School for Primary Care Research (SPCR), and attended the Transdisciplinary Understanding and Training on Research in Primary Health Care (TUTOR-PHC) program in 2020.
