Profile

I am a registered adult and mental health nurse and joined the Unit for Psychological Medicine in the Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health through the support of QMUL and the NHS England SPIN (salaried portfolio innovation) Fellowship for early career general practice nurses (GPNs).

I am a research assistant on the self-management of multiple long-term conditions in those experiencing socioeconomic deprivation (see here), under Dr Megan Armstrong. I work clinically as a GPN in East London.

I am interested in inclusion health and multi-morbidity – particularly the parity of esteem between the experience of long term mental and physical health conditions – and increasing the research capacity and profile of primary care nurses. I am a steering group member for the Queen’s Nursing Institute’s Community Nursing Research Forum Masterclass series and member of the Faculty for Homeless and Inclusion Health.

I hold a MSc in adult and mental health nursing and PGDip Primary Care from City, University of London; MA in the history of science, technology and medicine from King’s College London and a BSc in biology from the University of Manchester. I am interested in pursuing a PhD.
