Profile

I am a research assistant based at the Centre for Preventive Neurology at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. I previously earned a distinction in Clinical Neuroscience (MSc, UCL) and graduated with first-class honours in Psychology (BSc). I work for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) team, working across two projects focusing on MS. First, I work on the UK MS Pregnancy Register which is a patient-facing register enabling the generation of evidence around MS and pregnancy and is part of the wider UK MS Register. Second, I work on the ADAMS project which is a genetics study looking at how genes cause MS in people from different ancestral backgrounds and whether the genes that contribute to MS risk are the same or different for people of non-European ancestry. Furthermore, I will begin my PhD at the School of Primary Care in October 2024. My PhD will be focusing on the patterns and importance of infections during the MS prodrome and after a diagnosis of MS using primary care data. My goal of this PhD is to contribute to the development of early detection, diagnosis and management of MS within primary care.

Research

Research Interests:

My research focuses on improving early detection, diagnosis, and management of neurological diseases, particularly Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I am also committed to addressing healthcare inequalities and exploring the impact of social determinants on neurological health.
