Profile

Jen is an Honorary Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and a Speciality Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in North Central and East London.  She has a background in mathematics and philosophy prior to medicine.  During her clinical training, Jen has completed a masters degree in Medical Statistics at LSHTM.  Jen then completed her PhD in Health Services Research and Policy at LSHTM and at the RCOG, where she was embedded in the team for the National Maternity and Perinatal Audit.  Jen is currently completing higher clinical training in obstetrics, together with a research programme focusing on understanding the impact of conditions acquired in pregnancy across women’s life course, using electronic health records.

Research

Research Interests:

Jen’s interests cover the evaluation of maternity care and outcomes, including health inequalities and factors affecting the performance of healthcare systems and organisations; the risk assessment and stratification of pregnant women during antenatal and intrapartum care; and risk communication.
