Dr Hannah Jones , ForenPsyD MSc BA(Hons) CPsychol AFBPsS Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology & Mental HealthEmail: h.jones@qmul.ac.ukProfileResearchSupervisionProfileI am a Senior Lecturer in the Unit for Psychological Medicine in the Centre for Psychiatry & Mental Health and Programme Director for the MSc programme in Forensic Psychology & Mental Health, which is accredited by the BPS. I am a Chartered Forensic Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. I completed her Doctorate in Forensic Psychology at the University of Birmingham, with research focusing on the link between childhood experiences, personality and parenting behaviour. I hold close links with the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway across London and frequently works as an Expert Witness across the Justice System, with a focus on the Family Courts. I am experienced in the assessment and treatment of a range of mental health, personality, and risk related difficulties. I have a specific expertise in the assessment of parents within the Family Courts, employing a trauma informed and domestic abuse informed approach. I have undertaken training in a range of therapeutic approaches that I use in clinical practice including Schema Therapy, Mentalisation Based Treatment, and brief Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I am also a Stage 2 Assessor for the British Psychological Society’s Qualification in Forensic Psychology. ResearchResearch Interests:My research interests surround parents in the Family Court, coercive control, personality pathology, in addition to the relationship between childhood maltreatment and offending behaviour.SupervisionI supervise the following PhD students: Kolbrun Kristinsdottir -The role of Extreme Overvalued beliefs in lone actor violence I also supervise the following post-doc fellowship: Dr Georgina Mathlin - Open prison services for males with personality disorder.
