Dr Evangelos Katsampouris, PhD, CPsycholPostdoctoral Research Fellow in Behavioural ScienceEmail: e.katsampouris@qmul.ac.ukProfileResearchPublicationsSupervisionProfileI joined the Centre for Prevention, Detection and Diagnosis at Wolfson Institute of Population Health as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Behavioural Science in July 2021. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Panteion University (Athens, Greece), a MSc and a PhD in Health Psychology from the University of Bath. I am particularly interested in conducting Health Psychology and Behavioural Science research in cancer prevention, detection, and early diagnosis at population level. Specifically, my current work is primarily focused on (i) understanding patient psychological responses and healthcare professional communication practices in lung cancer screening and surveillance in order to develop evidence-based communication principles and resources for policymakers; and (ii) exploring the public acceptability of and anticipated psychological responses to risk-based eligibility criteria in lung cancer screening.ResearchResearch Interests:Lung cancer screening and prevention Psychosocial and behavioural factors in cancer and health inequalities Tobacco harm reduction Stress, coping and health outcomesPublications Katsampouris E, Creamer A, Prendecki R et al.
