Rosario JeraldoPhD studentEmail: r.i.espinozajeraldo@qmul.ac.ukProfilePublicationsProfilePhD title: Dementia prevention in Chile and Latin America In January 2023, I started my PhD studies at the Unit of Psychological Medicine at the Centre of Psychiatry and Mental Health with the goal of contributing to the implementation of preventive strategies for individuals living with Mild Cognitive Impairment and Subjective Cognitive Impairment in a Latin American context, with a specific focus on Chile. The findings from my research will carry global relevance, extending to other low- and middle-income countries. After earning my first degree in Psychology from Universidad de Los Andes (Chile), I moved to the UK to pursue an MSc in Mental Health Sciences Research at UCL. My prior research experience was related to the autonomy and social participation of people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. In recent years, I have developed an interest in dementia prevention in high-risk populations and had the opportunity to be part of the APPLE-tree study, led by Professor Claudia Cooper.
