Profile

I am a highly experienced Forensic Psychologist Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and an Associate Fellow of the BPS. She is a full member of the Division of Forensic Psychology and is a BPS registered supervisor. I am based at the Unit for Psychological Medicine in the Centre of Psychiatry and Mental Health.  

During the 13 years I worked for HM Prison and Probation Service, I worked with a range of populations including adolescent, male, female, and transgender offenders in a variety of regimes including a local Category B, Category C, Open Conditions, a female establishment. I gained experience of accredited Offending Behaviour Programmes (OBPs), was the Therapy Manager on a Democratic Therapeutic Community (DTC) and was the Clinical Lead of a Psychological Informed Planned Environment (PIPE). I also held the position of Senior Registered Psychologist within a Progression Regime, designed for offenders unable to progress to open conditions. I am experienced in using a range of psychological assessment tools and completing formulations, with both adult and adolescent populations. I have been involved in Safeguarding by working as a Negotiator Advisor. 

I am a HCPC Fitness to Practice panel member and a Stage 2 Assessor for the British Psychological Society’s Qualification in Forensic Psychology. I am also currently undertaking a Doctorate in Forensic Psychology exploring the lived experiences of trans and gender diverse prisoners residing in the women’s prison estate.
