I am a human factors and quality improvement researcher working in the Centre for Primary Care of the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. My main interests lie in the investigation, co-creation and implementation of processes and technologies to support people’s health, care and wellbeing. As a social scientist, I enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams, collaborating with patients, healthcare professionals and other researchers to understand real-world problems and implement creative solutions.
I joined QMUL in November 2022 to work on the NIHR-funded ModCons study. The study aims to understand how decisions on consultation modality (e.g. face-to-face, phone, video or text) are navigated in primary care.
Before joining the Institute, I studied the improvement of children’s allergy services as part of my PhD at Imperial College London. Here, I conducted four ethnographic case studies to unpack the dynamic development of paediatric allergy care pathway interventions, which were shaped by local conditions and a more or less systematic quality improvement process. During this time, I lectured on quality improvement on the Imperial College Master of Public Health.
