Senate

These web pages provide information on the constitution of Senate, its terms of reference and its work. Non-confidential papers and minutes of meetings will be made available for all staff. Senate was established on 1 September 2010 and has primary responsibility for oversight of the academic activity of Queen Mary including, amongst other things, academic standards, academic freedom and research.  Senate was established following a review of Queen Mary's governance arrangements and replaces Academic Board.  A number of the subcommittees have also changed or are no longer in operation.
