School of Law PhD student Emma Raucent has been awarded two prizes for academic excellence. Emma has recently received the Prize for best overall result in the LLM in Legal Theory, and the Principal’s Prize, for her outstanding LLM results.
Having excelled in her LLM studies, Emma is now a funded PhD student continuing on a trajectory set by her choice in LLM:
“I am sincerely grateful for being awarded this Prize, as well as the Principal’s Prize! Last year was a great stepping stone full of challenges, and I am sincerely thankful that my efforts are appreciated and recognised through this award.
The LLM in Legal Theory opened many intellectual doors to explore, and my PhD is the concretisation of some of them. I would like to stress the help and availability of all my professors during my LLM, especially that of Dr Eva Nanopoulos and Professor Maks Del Mar, who are now my PhD supervisors.”
Professor Maks Del Mar, Director of Graduate Studies, said: "We all warmly congratulate Emma on her achievements. We are very proud of our PhD community, and keen to celebrate their successes. And we hope that more students follow in Emma’s footsteps. The LLM in Legal Theory is an excellent bridge onto the PhD programme."
