The purpose of the CCLS Nigeria Chapter is to create a CCLS community in Nigeria organised by alumni for alumni. The group will facilitate professional networking and socialising opportunities, bringing together alumni from different years and different specialisms together.
The Chapter came about as a result of discussions about a group with Adebisi Sanda (Law and Economics LLM, 2014), when he visited CCLS during a trip to London in January 2020. The Chapter is now run by a Committee and the members look forward to bringing alumni together for networking purposes in Lagos. Professor Ian Walden, (Professor of Information and Communications Law) serves as the CCLS Academic Lead for the CCLS Nigeria Chapter.
The Chapter was formally launched with an online welcome event on 20 November 2020. Chapter events organised by the committee are advertised on the Alumni Events page. Updates on recent events which have taken place can be accessed from the past event listings.
