The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the world’s leading professional body for marketing, has approved four Marketing Masters degrees for exemptions on CIM qualifications.

The society’s first pitch competition took place on April 7th and saw seven teams of students competing for a £1000 prize. The winning team, Polydesign, which developed an AI interior design software, secured their victory with 40% of the audience votes and 60% of the votes from the three judges. Earlier this year, Masters student Lijun Hou founded Major Mixer, alongside friends Mikhail Andreev, Endrit Haziri, Zhishan Huang, Syed Izhaan and Yasi Ranjbar. On 3rd March, students were invited to participate in the bi-annual “Business Simulation Challenge”. This well-liked event began in 2021 and is organised by the School’s Dr S M A Moin and PhD student Yuanyuan Lai.
In this student authored blog, MSc Management student Raiba Bhosale reflects on the inaugural MSc Management Case Competition. A student-led initiative designed to provide opportunities for students to solve real life business problems in a competitive setting.

Queen Mary has recognised the work of colleagues from the School of Business and Management, awarding three awards to academics Dr Xue Zhou and Dr Georgy Petrov.
Inforens, a platform that connects prospective international students to students already studying overseas, was recently invited to attend the annual Web Summit in Lisbon. Yash Gulati, MSc International business and Politics, 2021 founded Inforens in February 2022, alongside his colleagues colleagues Devika Ghosal and Pankaj Sharma.
